Pace and duration

Therapy is a personal journey, so you set the pace. Specific fears and phobias are often resolved in 1–2 sessions, while other issues take more time to explore and navigate.

Most clients work with me for 4–8 weeks, but the duration is flexible to suit your needs and goals.

Whether you're seeking a swift resolution or a more gradual approach, we’ll work at a pace that feels right for you.

If you don't like something change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude

Havening Techniques    are a groundbreaking psychosensory therapy that forms the cornerstone of my therapeutic practice. It is designed to help clients process trauma, reduce stress, and address emotional challenges without the need to relive or discuss past experiences in detail.

This gentle yet highly effective method uses soothing touch on the arms, hands, or face, combined with guided mental exercises such as visualization or positive recall. By engaging the brain’s neurobiology, Havening works to neutralise the emotional charge of distressing memories, calming the nervous system and creating space for healing.

The science behind Havening lies in its ability to alter the brain’s response to traumatic events by reducing activity in the amygdala and fostering the release of calming neurochemicals. Clients often report feeling a profound sense of relief and empowerment after just a few sessions, as they notice a shift in how they think, feel, and respond to challenging situations.

Three common types of Havening include:

Event Havening – for trauma and PTSD

Transpirational Havening – for negative emotions

Outcome Havening – for performance enhancement

Hypnosis: Beyond the Myths

Hypnosis is a collaborative process, not a “magic trick.” Rather than something “done” to you, it’s a guided practice for accessing the subconscious, where instinctive patterns of behaviour are formed. By bypassing the analytical and often anxious conscious mind, hypnosis helps align your thoughts and actions toward a positive future.

The word “hypnosis” often conjures images of swinging pocket watches or sinister figures exerting mind control—a portrayal popularised by films and stage performances. While these depictions have given hypnosis a somewhat negative reputation, they couldn’t be further from the truth. Hypnosis has endured throughout the centuries as a powerful therapeutic tool and is now gaining increasing recognition in the medical world.

Books like Beyond Pills and Positions highlight how hypnosis can be used effectively to address a wide range of issues, from pain management to emotional well-being. Its solution-focused approach provides tools for lasting, meaningful change, empowering individuals to unlock their capacity for healing and growth. We hold both the capacity to create and the power to solve our challenges—hypnosis simply guides the way.
